I feel like a junkie. I have a new motherboard, new memory, a new video card, a new power source and I'm sure some other computer thingys -- and I'm whipping along at the speed of light. I may pass out any minute. Hell, I can use all my peripherals. It's better than Percocet, I tells ya. I almost feel like a real grownup... hurh hurh hurh I said peripherals in a sentence

New hard drive, new operating system, new CPU.

For those that are interested:
DFI nF4 SLI-DR motherboard
AMD Athlon64 3700+ (San Diego core with 1Meg of L2 cache)
Nvidia GeForce4 6600 video card with 256Megs of memory
Western Digital 250Gb SATA hard drive with Windows XP Pro already installed.
PSU is a semi-generic 450Watt ATX 2.0.
1Gig of OCZ DDR-400 Ram (Platinum Enhanced Latency).

Motherboard has gigabit ethernet.

Basically, she just jumped about 4-5 generations of computer technology in one swell foop.

I just got back from a week on extremely limited computer rations. I'm soooo glad to be back!

Now we just have to start replacing parts in my hubby's computer that fried before we left. ;)

Ok. I am officially in the stone age. I am still using a pentium one with dial up access that on a good day gets to 40k.
